  • 256 KB (to 2MB) external Flash with PHYTEC FlashTools download utility for in-system (ISP) Flash programming
  • 128 KB (to 1MB) external SRAM
  • 4 (to 32) KB external serial I2C EEPROM (alternatively I2C SRAM or FRAM)
  • RS232 serial interface
  • supplemental RS-232 or RS-485 serial interface (jumper selectable)

SBC Module Description

The phyCORE-89C51Mx2 is populated by the Philips 8xC51MC2 controller, which can access up to 2MB Flash (standard 256KB) and up to 1MB SRAM. The module is ideal for applications whose requirements exceed the memory space of the standard 8051, yet that can utilize code created within the 8051 instruction set. The phyCORE-8xC51Mx2 offers two RS-232 interfaces, one of which can be configured as RS-485. The module also offers a serial EEPROM for storage of configuration data and a Real-Time Clock. The PLCC-socketed controller enables easy connection of an emulator to the phyCORE-8xC51Mx2.
