SBC Module Description

The miniMODUL-552 is an extension of the miniMODUL-535 that is based on the Philips PCB80C552 single-chip microcontroller. The 80C552 is pin and instruction set compatible to the 80C535 and other 8051-family derivatives. However, it offers such supplemental integrated features as an I2C bus, 24 parallel, bi-directional I/Os; an 8-channel ADC with 10-bit resolution and a Watchdog Timer. The module boasts 32KB external SRAM and 128KB external Flash memory and communicate by means of an RS-232 interface. User code is directly downloaded into the Flash via RS-232 with help of the included PHYTEC FlashTools firmware. The boards operate within a standard industrial temperature range of 0 to 70 degrees C and require a low 5V/100 mA power source.
