SBC Module Description

The C509-based miniMODUL-509 extends the functionality of the miniMODUL-537 by making available at a board-level such on-chip features as 3KB on-chip RAM and Boot-ROM, 29 PWM outputs, a 15-bit A/D converter with 10-bit resolution and an internal baudrate booster. Running at 16MHz, the board delivers instruction cycles in 375ns. This is comparable to the 80C537 operating at 32MHz. The board itself features 32KB external SRAM and 128 external KB Flash, which can be programmed on-board using the PHYTEC FlashTools. All relevant controller signals and ports extend to standard-width pin headers (2.54mm) aligning three edges of the board. The miniMODUL is also populated by an external address decoder and a supplemental RS-232 interface that can be optionally configured as an RS-485 interface to enable networking.
