SBC Module Description

The phyCORE-DS80C390 is a Single Board Computer in subminiature dimensions populated with the 8-bit, 80C51-compatible DS80C390 microcontroller from Dallas Semiconductor. All ports and decoded interface signals extend to standard 2.54 pitch pin header rows. The phyCORE-390 offers 22-bit continuous memory support, 128KB (to 1MB) of external SRAM and 256KB (to 2MB) of external Flash memory. The included PHYTEC FlashTools download utility enable In-System (ISP) Flash programming. Two CAN transceivers and a serial EEPROM also populate the board. The latter provides storage of CAN configuration data. The module communicates via an RS-232 or RS-485 serial interface, which is jumper selectable. Included is an I2C Real-Time Clock and optional battery back-up of the SRAM and RTC. The board requires a single 5V power supply for operation and Flash programming.
