SBC Module Description

The phyCORE-161CS supports the Infineon C161CS, C161JC and C161JI 16-bit controllers in TQFP-128 packaging. These chips offer a high price-performance value, are based on the C166 controller core, and integrate a variety of supplemental on-chip components. The board can be populated with up to 2MB external Flash and up to 1MB external RAM memory. The Flash device supports convenient on-board programming in conjunction with PHYTEC FlashTools. With its many derivatives, the C161 offers the user a variety of integrated features, allowing for maximum design and expansion to external devices. An additional feature of the phyCORE-161CS is the possibility of rerouting CAN to port pins, providing full 16MB address space.
