phyCORE-XAGx/Cx

-16-bit sub-mini SBC supporting on-chip Flash / -16-bit XA featuring CAN 2.0B via Philips PeliCAN

SBC Module Description(XAG49)

In contrast to microcontrollers offering on-chip OTP, on-chip Flash of the XAG49 enables flexible on-board reprogramming during development, as well as upgrading via RS-232 of user code stored in hardware that is already implemented in the field. The XA's compatibility mode enables easy migration from 8051-compatible devices to this 16-bit architecture.

For memory intensive applications, this microcontroller enables memory models with up to 1MB for CODE as well as XDATA memory.

SBC MODULE FEATURES(XAG49)

  • Single Board Computer in subminiature dimensions (55 x 47mm) according to phyCORE specifications
  • Philips 16-bit PXAG49 microcontroller (PLCC-44, 29.491MHz clock frequency) featuring two on-chip Flash
  • All ports and decoded interface-signals extend to standard 2.54mm pitch pin header rows aligning the edges of the circuit board
  • flexible address decoding and generation of three/CS signals and different memory models
  • 64KB on-chip and 256KB (to 2MB) external Flash with included PHYTEC FlashTools download utility for in-system Flash programming (ISP)
  • 256KB (to 1MB) external SRAM devices (SO, SOJ, battery backup)
  • 4 (to 32)KB external serial I2C EEPROM (alternatively I2C SRAM or FRAM)
  • 2x serial interfaces (RS232 and RS232/RS485, jumper selectable)
  • I2C Real Time Clock with battery back-up
  • requires single 5V power supply
  • MTBF=827,829 hours

SBC MODULE FEATURES(XAC3)

  • Single Board Computer in subminiature dimensions (55 x 47mm) according to phyCORE low EMI specifications
  • populated with Philips 16-bit PXAC37 microcontroller (PLCC-44, 32MHz clock frequency) featuring on-chip CAN 2.0B via Philips PeliCAN
  • All ports and decoded interface signals extend to standard 2.54mm pitch pin header rows aligning the edges of the circuit board
  • flexible address decoding and generation of three/CS signals and different memory models
  • 256KB (to 2MB) external Flash with included PHYTEC FlashTools download utility for in-system Flash programming (ISP)
  • 256KB (to 1MB) external SRAM devices
  • SPI bus
  • 2 (to 8)KB external SPI-EEPROM (alternatively I2C SRAM or FRAM)
  • RS232 and/or RS485 serial interfaces (jumper selectable)
  • Philips 82C251 CAN transceiver
  • I2C Real Time Clock with battery back-up
  • requires single 5V power supply and operates within a standard temperature range of 0 to 70 C
  • MTBF=860,057 hours

SBC Module Description(XAC3)

The XA's compatibility mode enables easy migration from 8051-compatible devices to this 16-bit architecture. For memory extensive applications, this microcontroller enables memory models with up to 1MB for CODE as well as XDATA memory. With the help of a software-configurable PLD, the address area for CODE space can be extended up to 2MB.
